About the Foundation

Advancing Human Dignity Through Direct Capital

The Colussi Family Foundation is a U.S. 501(c)(3) Private Operating Foundation that funds the global humanitarian brand Give Basic Needs, operated in Ghana through an external company of the Foundation, deploying zero-markup capital directly into Medical & WASH, Food Security, and Shelter & Civic Infrastructure programs.

Who We Are

Incorporated on June 1, 2021 in the State of Nevada, the foundation stewards an endowment exceeding $6.2 million dedicated to eliminating basic human survival barriers.

We operate as an active Private Operating Foundation rather than a passive grantmaker — satisfying the IRS Income and Endowment Tests by deploying capital directly into field programs instead of third-party grants. In fiscal year 2024, the foundation reported certified net assets of $6,270,839 on U.S. IRS Form 990-PF (EIN: 87-1287029).

International operations in West Africa are executed by Give Basic Needs, an external company of the Foundation registered in Ghana under Act 992. The relationship between the two entities — the Clean Nexus Protocol — ensures the U.S. parent absorbs 100% of global administrative, legal, and software overhead so that field capital moves at a strict zero-percent markup. Led by an Independent Board

The foundation's Board of Directors and officers oversee every allocation, with directors holding concurrent roles in both entities recusing themselves from intercompany contracting votes to prevent self-dealing under IRC § 4941.
